Petitioner, Vijay Kumar, had approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents in conducting DPC for promotion to the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) from the relevant Feeder Cadre, as per the quota provided in Column No. 11(iii) of the Recruitment & Promotion Rules (in short,"R&P Rules"), for the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical), in HPSEBL.

Learned counsel for the respondent has submitted that the reply has not been filed, however, an affidavit in compliance with the directions passed by the Court on 07.08.2026 has been filed by placing on record an Office Order dated 22.08.2026, received from Deputy Secretary (GE), HPSEBL, Shimla-4 (Annexure RA-3), whereby ____________
( 2026:HHC:35980 ) petitioner, Vijay Kumar, Foreman (Line), has been promoted to the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) and has been posted in Electrical Division (ED), Mandi against vacancy to indicate that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, for the reason that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed, nothing survives to be adjudicated and no further order is required to be passed and, accordingly, the present petition is disposed of as infructuous. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand
disposed of accordingly.
