GP FOR SERVICES I The Court made the following: 3 VS,J W.P.No.338 of 2026 ORDER: This Writ Petition came to be filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following prayer: “to issue a writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 5th respondent in issuing proceedings vide R.O.C..No.367/2020-C6, dated 19.04.2024 suspending the petitioner as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the principles of natural justice besides without there being any authority of law and consequently set aside the same” 2. The petitioner was appointed as Ward Sanitation and Environment Secretary vide proceedings dated 19.03.2021 and was posted in Proddutur. While the petitioner was discharging her duties, she was issued a show cause notice on 10.04.2024 seeking her explanation for not discharging her duty as Other Polling Officer for general elections to HOP/APLA 2024 held on 13.05.2024. As the petitioner did not submit her explanation, the 5th respondent vide impugned proceedings dated 19.04.2024, suspended the petitioner pending further enquiry. Challenging the proceedings dated 19.04.2024, the present writ petition is filed. 3. When the writ petition came up for admission on 06.01.2026, this Court passed the following interim order: “…Considering the submissions and taking note of the fact that suspension of the Petitioner was revoked vide orders issued under Proc.Roc.No.367/2020-C6 dated 04.08.2025, 4 VS,J W.P.No.338 of 2026 there shall be an interim direction to Respondents to permit the Petitioner to join her erstwhile duty, pending further orders.” 4. Heard Mr. P. Radha Krishna, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Services-I and Mr. B. Siva Sankara Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the 5th respondent. 5. Today when the writ petition came up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel for the 5th respondent furnished a copy of the proceedings bearing Roc.No.367/2020-C6, dated 22.01.2026 issued by the 5th respondent, which discloses that the respondents have revoked the impugned suspension orders dated 19.04.2024 vide proceedings dated 04.08.2025. Pursuant to the interim direction granted by this Court on 06.01.2026, the petitioner was permitted to join her duty on 21.01.2026 and accordingly, the petitioner has submitted her joining report on 21.01.2026. 6. In view of the fact that the petitioner’s suspension was revoked vide proceedings in Roc.No.367/2020-C6, dated 04.08.2025 and in view of the fact that the petitioner was permitted to join duty on 21.01.2026, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause survives in the present writ petition. 7. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed.
