By way of the present application, the applicant seeks extension of interim bail on medical grounds for a period of 45 days, granted by the learned Trial Court vide order dated 06.04.2026. 2. No one is present on behalf of the applicant. 3. The matter was mentioned by the applicant herein before the Hon’ble Chief Justice of this Court on 10.04.2026, and was marked to this Court on the same day at 4:50 PM on the ground that the applicant was shot at by unknown person while he was coming from hospital. 4. The verification report has been handed over to this Court, and the relevant portion of the same reads as under: “6. That enquiry was conducted in this regard. In enquiry it was found that on 10.04.26 a PCR call was received in PS New Usmanpur vide DD No. 23A, "Caller bol raha hai 2 ladko ne mere pair me kuchh mara hai or phone chhinne ki koshis ki hai or caller abhi jag pravesh hospital me hai" and the same was This is a digitally signed order. That during enquiry conducted by SI Sumit it was revealed that caller Naved s/o Nawab had hurt himself by surgical blade and made a false call at 112 to avoid his surrender from interim bail. Written statement of Naved is recorded in this regard. 8. That action u/s 217 of BNSS vide DD No. 150A dated 10.04.2026 PS New Usmanpur, Delhi is being taken against Naved s/o Nawab for giving false/misleading information to police. 9. That OPD treatment is being taken by petitioner Naved in GTB hospital. Treatment/medical papers are verified from GTB hospital.” 5. The verification report reveals that the applicant deliberately inflicted injuries upon himself using a surgical blade and subsequently made a false call to 112 to evade surrender pursuant to the interim bail. It is further submitted that the applicant’s written statement was recorded, wherein he tendered an apology to the concerned SHO for the aforesaid conduct. 6. Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the present case and also the verification report filed by the State, this Court is not inclined to extend the interim bail granted to the applicant by the learned Trial Court. 7.
