JUSTICE S.G.PANDIT) Petitioner is before this Court questioning interim order dated 23.04.2026 in O.A.No.172/2026 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal at Bengaluru (for short, 'the CAT'). Interim order passed by the Tribunal reads as follows: "Issue notice to the respondents, returnable by 17.06.2026. List the matter before the Registrar's Court for completion of pleadings on 17.06.2026. In the meantime, applicant is permitted to appear in the selection process for the post of Assistant Professor (Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry) at Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar subject to the result of this Original Application." - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:28804-DB WP No. 15965 of 2026 2. Heard the learned counsel Sri. Arnab Pal, through video conference for learned counsel Sri. Srinivasamurthy N.C., for the petitioner and learned counsel Sri. N.S. Narasimhaswamy, for the respondent. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would refer to intimation dated 30.04.2026 (Annexure-C) and would submit that the said intimation would come in the way of respondent's conducting interview of the petitioner. He further submits that the petitioner had received interview call letter and the date of interview is on 16.06.2026. If that is so, when the petitioner is called for interview in pursuance to the interim order dated 23.04.2026 passed by the CAT, the petitioner cannot be aggrieved of the said interim order. 4. Learned counsel Sri. N.S. Narasimhaswamy, for the respondent would submit that the respondent is bound to obey the interim order passed by the CAT as they have not challenged the said order. 5. Thus, we don’t see any reasons to interfere with the interim order dated 23.04.2026 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Bengaluru. We do not understand why - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:28804-DB WP No. 15965 of 2026 the petitioner is before this Court when the interim order passed by the CAT is in his favour and when he has received call letter for interview in pursuance to interim order. The writ petition stands rejected with cost of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) to be paid to the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority within two weeks.
