Mr. Joydeep Roy Mr. Soumya Basu Roychowdhuyry. …for the State. Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 192 days. He is the computer shop owner and there is no complicity of the present petitioner in the alleged offence. In spite of the same, the police authorities have alleged culpability and considered him to be a prime accused in the case. Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, submits that the CID, West Bengal has taken over the investigation on 14th March, 2026. After taking over the investigation, it has transpired that financial transactions were involved and some of the legal heirship certificates were unearthed from the computer belonging to the petitioner which is allegedly fake and have been fraudulently prepared. 2 Be that as it may, the investigation of the case has been taken over by the CID who are proceeding with the initial stages of the investigation. Having considered the locus of the present petitioner, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court at the appropriate stage after 60 days. At this stage, CRM(M)565 of 2026 is dismissed.
