2. In this petition, the petitioner is challenging the
order dated 06th August, 1998 (Annexure-H) passed by the respondent No.2-Land Tribunal, Shidlaghatta Taluk earlier in Kolar District, now in Chikkaballapur District in Case No.LRM(B)37/1984-85 in respect of the schedule property.

3. Heard Sri. Y. Nagaraj, learned counsel on behalf of Sri. C. Shankar Reddy, appearing for the petitioner and Sri. B.J. Eswarappa, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for respondents.
4. Sri. Y. Nagaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner argued that the petitioner is in possession of the schedule property, which comes within the purview of Inams Abolition Act. Accordingly, he sought for interference of this Court.
5. Per contra, Sri. B.J. Eswarappa, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for respondents submits that the writ petition is filed after delay of more than 27 years. Accordingly, he sought for dismissal of the petition on the ground of delay and laches.
6. In the light of submission made by learned counsel appearing for the parties, it is not in dispute that the impugned
order is passed on 06th August, 1998 (Annexure-H) by the respondent No.2-Land Tribunal, Shidlaghatta Taluk. Taking into consideration the said order is passed by considering the material on record by the Land Tribunal and the said order has

been challenged after a delay of more than 27 years, I am of the view that the petition requires to be dismissed on the ground of delay and laches.
7. Following the law declared by Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of SHIVAMMA (DEAD) BY LRS vs.
KARNATAKA HOUSING BOARD AND OTHERS reported in 2025 SCC Online SC 1969, as the sufficient cause has not be shown by the petitioner herein to challenge the impugned order after a delay of more than 27 years, no interference be called for in this petition. Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed.
