It is the contention of the petitioner that the petitioners are in unauthorised occupation of 2 acres each of land in Sy.No.147 of Dodda Alahalli Village, Uyamballi Hobli, Kanakapura Taluk, Bangalore South District. The petitioners have filed applications in Form Nos.57 dated 21.01.2019 and 13.03.2019 seeking regularisation of unauthorised occupation of the said lands, however, till date the applications have not been considered. Therefore, the prayer in the petition is to direct the respondents to consider the said applications and pass necessary orders. 3. Having regard to the contentions raised in the writ petition and submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent No.4-Tahsildar was duty bound to place the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:14183 WP No. 3474 of 2026 applications filed by the petitioners before the respondent No.5- Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation and the Committee was also duty bound to consider the application and pass necessary orders. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Kanakapura Taluk, to verify from the records as to whether such applications filed by the petitioners in the year 2019 is pending consideration. If it is found that such an applications were indeed filed by the petitioners and the applications are yet to be considered, the Tahsildar is directed to place before the Committee for regularisation of unauthorised occupation, the applications along with his recommendation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the Committee shall consider the said applications and pass necessary orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months.
