The petitioner has filed the present petition as a public interest litigation, inter alia, praying that the directions be issued to respondent Nos.1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation and take necessary steps for distribution of the land to landless persons by following the procedure prescribed under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961. The petitioner states that respondent Nos.5 to 8 hold the land in excess of what is permissible.
