CRL.M.C. 7298/2026 and connected matter petitions are allowed. 10. Considering the fact that it is a dispute between neighbours and the parties have now resolved their disputes, there is no use continuing with the proceedings under the present FIRs as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the aforementioned FIRs and the proceedings pursuant thereto. 11. Even though the matter has been settled, the FIRs were lodged in the year 2019 and the parties have settled the matter after 7 years. The parties, on account of their acts and omissions have wasted considerable time of the police and the courts in the present matter. In these circumstances, the parties in both the petitions would be liable to pay costs, which would be utilized for socially beneficial causes. 12. Accordingly, the present proceedings under FIR No.88/2019 and FIR No.89/2019 registered at Police Station Farsh Bazar and the proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed subject to the petitioner in CRL.M.C. 7298/2026, as well as the two petitioners in CRL.M.C. 7379/2026 paying costs of Rs.20,000/- each to Friendicoes, an NGO for animal care, located at 271 & 273, Defence Colony, Flyover Market, Jangpura Side, New Delhi – 110024 within two (2) weeks from today. 13. The necessary compliance report shall be filed with the Registry within four (4) weeks from today. 14.
The petitions stand disposed of accordingly. AMIT BANSAL, J SEPTEMBER 30, 2026/Rzu This is a digitally signed order.
