By way of the present writ petition, the petitioners are seeking a direction AVINASH SHARMA Digitally signed by AVINASH SHARMA Date: 2026.05.08 10:07:12 +0530 2 towards the respondent authorities for allotment of land by granting patta in their favour. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in possession of the land bearing Khasra No.383,395,399,401,434,509,510 total admeasuring area 101.18 hectare situated at village Bindranawagarh, PH No.27, tehsil and District Gariyaband, and they have already filed an application for its settlement in their favour. He further submits that they have constructed houses upon the said land, therefore, it is prayed that the concerned Collector be directed to consider and decide the said application in accordance with law after affording them due opportunity of hearing. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents/State submits that if the application filed by the petitioners is still pending before the competent authority, the same shall be decided in accordance with law within a stipulated time. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the concerned Collector is directed to consider and decide the application filed by the petitioners expeditiously, in accordance with law. 6. It is further observed that since, according to the petitioners, their application is still pending consideration, they are at liberty to submit a fresh, detailed representation before the concerned Collector within a period of 15 days from today. Upon such submission, the Collector shall consider and decide the same within a further period of 60 days in accordance with law. 7. Till the decision of the application, no coercive steps shall be taken against the 3 petitioners. 8. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
