CRL.M.C. 4925/2026 & connected matter p. 3 7. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter has been settled between the petitioner and the respondent no.2 before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 29th April, 2025 (Annexure-P-5). In terms of the settlement, an amount of Rs.2.5 crores has been fully paid by Mr. Umang Tewari to the petitioner. 8. Mr. Umang Tewari, power of attorney holder of the respondent no.2 in both the petitions, is present in Court through video conferencing and has been identified by his counsel. He informs the Court that the respondents have settled the matter of their own free will and without any coercion. He further states that he has no objection to quashing of the FIR. 9. The petitioner is also present in Court and has been identified by her counsel. He affirms the statements of respondent no.2 in both the petitions and undertakes to abide by the terms of settlement arrived at between the parties. 10. Considering the above settlement between the parties, there is no use continuing with the proceedings of the present FIRs, as it would be an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the aforementioned FIRs and the proceedings pursuant thereto. 11. Consequently, the FIR No. 47/2017, registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj South, and FIR No. 208/2017, registered at P.S. Rajinder Nagar and the proceedings pursuant thereto are quashed. 12.
