GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief :- “…to issue a Writ or Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring action of the respondents police more particularly the respondent No. 4 in calling the petitioner to the police station without there being any cause and also compelling the petitioner to settle the alleged civil disputes in between the respondent 5 herein as well as in interfering with the life and liberty of the petitioner as illegal, arbitrary and also opposed to Article 21 of the Constitution of India as well as abuse of power of police consequentially direct the respondent No. 4 herein not to interfere with the personal life and liberty of the petitioners by calling to the police station without there being any cause and pass such order(s).” 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Sri Chetan Ponnuru, learned counsel for the Petitioner, submits that Respondent No.4 is unlawfully calling the Petitioner to the police station without any valid reason, improperly interfering in a civil dispute, and pressuring the Petitioner to settle the matter with Respondent No.5. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the police have never interfered in the civil dispute between the Petitioner and Respondent No.5. 3 Dr.YLR, J W.P.No.1421 of 2026 Dated 08.05.2026 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Respondent No.4 not to interfere henceforth in the civil dispute between the Petitioner and the Respondent No.5 without following due process of law. 6.
