1. Heard.
2. By way of this petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs : 10.1 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to award appropriate compensation in lieu of land acquired by them i.e. khasra No. 820, rakba 0.19 hectare situated at Khairghat, P.O. Bansankra, Block Simga, District Balodabazar- Bhatapara (C.G.). 10.2 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to avail the documents with regard to acquisition proceeding to the petitioner. 10.3 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to disburse the amount of compensation with immediate effect. 10.4 Any other relief, which may deem fit, in the interest of justice.
3. At the outset, learned counsel for the State submits that the compensation has already been calculated and the petitioner was been duly informed. However, it is submitted that the petitioner denied to appear before the concerned authority; as such, the
3 compensation could not be disbursed.
4. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that if the cheque is ready and the respondent authorities are prepared to release the sum of Rs.1,16,133/-, the petitioner is ready to appear before the concerned authority to obtain the same.
5. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, the petitioner is
directed to appear before the concerned authority on 11.5.2026 to collect the subject cheque prepared by the concerned Land Acquisition Officer i.e. Sub Divisional Officer ®, Simga. The respondent authorities are further directed to obtain a receipt of the same and furnish a copy thereof before the Registrar (Judicial).
6. With the aforesaid observations/directions, the petition is finally
