Pursuant to the direction of this Hon’ble Court on March 11, 2025, the one member Committee had been constituted to look into the disputes between the petitioner and the University. The one member Committee, presided over by an Hon’ble Retired Judge of this Court, has submitted its recommendation to the University. 3. Mr. Chatterjee, learned Advocate appearing for the University, submits that the Executive Council of the University has formed a Three Member Committee to look into the recommendations of the one member Committee, as submitted before them. Since the matter has been pending for some time, I direct the Three Member Committee of the Executive Council 2 to consider the recommendations of the one member Committee, as expeditiously as possible, preferably by May 15, 2026 and intimate the result thereof to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of consideration. In the event the consideration is in favour of the petitioner, the University will take consequential steps to disburse the financial benefits that may have been granted or accrued to the petitioner. 4. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 5. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 6. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 7.
