JUSTICE CHILLAKUR SUMALATHA - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26449 WP No. 14939 of 2026 ORAL ORDER This writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs:- "a) To issue of a writ of certiorari or other appropriate writ to call for the record in G & WC No.423/2024 and on G & WC No.460/2024 the file of Principal Judge, Family Court at Bangalore and set aside the order dated 27.04.2026 (Annexure-J) and to grant the petitioner 50% custody of the children i.e. Vallabh and Ameya during the school summer vacations which is from 18th April to 8th June as mentioned in their school time table. b) And grant such other or further relief or reliefs as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity". 2. Heard Sri.Shrinivasreddy M who represents Sri.Shahnawaz M Mamadapur learned counsel on record for the petitioner as well as Dr.Sudhindara Bhat who represents the respondent. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26449 WP No. 14939 of 2026 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner sought for custody of the children during 50% of the summer vacation period i.e., from 18.04.2026 to 08.06.2026. This Court through order dated 14.05.2026 granted custody of the children from 10.00 a.m on 18.05.2026 till 05.00 p.m., on 03.06.2026. The children were under the custody of petitioner/father accordingly. He handed over the custody of the children to respondent/mother on expiry of that period. 4. Learned counsel states that the purpose of filing of the writ petition thus is served and therefore the writ petition may be disposed of. 5. Having considered the submission thus made and as the writ petition does not survive for further consideration, the writ petition is disposed of.
