This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking the following prayer: “……to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the show cause notice dated 25-4-2026 in C.No.1610/G1/2025 issued by 2 respondent as illegal, arbitrary, without jurisdiction, non- application of mind and colourable exercise of power, and violative of principles of natural justice and contrary to the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959 and its rules, 2016, and also in violation of Article 21 of Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to renew the petitioner's Arms Licence vide No.05/Governorpet PS/2015 for a period of five years w.e.f 01.03.2026 to 28.02.2031 pursuant to renewal application dated 06.02.2026 without reference to FIR No. 469/2024 of Ibrahimpatnam police station and pass such other orders” 2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Writ Petition was filed seeking renewal of weapon license. After filing the Writ Petition, license was renewed on 13.05.2026. Hence, petition may be disposed of, since the relief has become infructuous in this matter. 3.
