Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for the following relief:- “i. That the respondent department may kindly be directed to post the petitioner either at GSSS Jol Sappar or GSSS Amroh, Distt. Hamirpur, keeping in view his ailment.” 2. When this case was listed before the Court on 13.08.2026, the following order was passed by the Court:- “Notice. Mr. Pushpinder Jaswal, learned Additional Advocate General, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. In the light of the ailment, which the petitioner is 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 suffering from, learned Additional Advocate General to have positive instructions qua the adjustment of the petitioner, at a station, from which, he can have easy access to PGI, Chandigarh. As prayed for, list on 20.08.2026.” 3. Today, learned Additional Advocate General has handed over instructions received from the Additional Secretary (Education) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh, dated 22.08.2026, relevant portion whereof reads as under:- “I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to or GSSS say that the from the perusal of writ petition it has been found that the petitioner has sought transfer/adjustment at GSSS Jol Sappar Amroh, Distt. Hamripur. However, both of these stations are not lying vacant currently. Therefore, he can not be adjusted at the requested stations. However, considering his health issues he may prefer any three/four stations in his home Distt. i.e. Mandi and the Department will consider his request sympathetically. You are, therefore, requested to kindly apprise the Hon'ble High Court accordingly.” 4. In light of what is stated in said instructions, this 3 petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner shall appear before respondent No. 1, on 26.08.2026, at 3:00 p.m. and apprise the Authority of the stations, on which, he can be accommodated and needful be done by the Authority forthwith.
