This anticipatory bail application under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the Applicant, who is apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No.07/2025 registered at Police Station –Mohan Nagar, District Durg (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Sections 317(2), 317(4), 318(4) and 61(2)(a) of BNS, 2023. As per the prosecution case, the present matter arises out of an FIR lodged by Sub-Inspector Paras Singh Thakur at Police Station Mohan Nagar on the basis of information received from the ‘Samanvay Portal’ operated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. It is alleged that during monitoring of suspected “Mule Accounts” maintained at Karnataka Bank, Station Road Branch, Durg, it was found that 111 bank accounts were being used for routing proceeds of cyber frauds committed across various States of the country. According to the prosecution, an amount of approximately Rs.86,33,247/- was credited into these accounts through different online fraudulent activities and several such accounts reflected multiple suspicious transactions in respect of which online complaints had already been registered in other States. Based on these allegations, the aforesaid offences have been registered against the present Applicant. Hence, this application.

Learned Counsel for the Applicant submits that the Applicant is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that the prosecution case is based on data obtained from the ‘Samanvay Portal’ and bank records collected from Karnataka Bank. It is submitted that all relevant documents, KYC detail, and transaction records
3 are already in the custody of the Investigating Agency, therefore, no custodial interrogation of the Applicant is required. It is further submitted that no recovery remains to be made from the Applicant. According to the prosecution itself, approximately Rs.86,33,247/- was allegedly routed through 111 bank accounts in relation to various online fraudulent transactions. It is lastly submitted that conclusion of trial is likely to take quite some time for its conclusion, therefore, the Applicant may be granted anticipatory bail.
4. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail.

Considering the submissions advanced by learned Counsel for the parties, the facts and circumstances of the case and further considering the nature and gravity of offence, particularly the allegation that an amount of approximately Rs.86,33,247/- was routed through 111 bank accounts in connection with online fraudulent transactions across various States and without further commenting anything on the merits of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the Applicant.
6. Accordingly, the Anticipatory Bail application of the Applicant – Amar Sinha filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 in
4 connection with Crime No.07/2025 registered at Police Station –Mohan Nagar, District Durg (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Sections 317(2), 317(4), 318(4) and 61(2) (a) of BNS, 2023, is hereby rejected.
7. Office is directed to provide a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information.
