The petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs:- "I) Issue a writ in nature of certiorari and quash the letter dated 29.7.2025 bearing No. KLA/BCD/CR.NO.42/2025 passed by the respondent no.1 to respondent no.2 State Bank of India, Jayanagar Branch directing to freeze the Bank Account No. 39651539645 of Petitioner No.1, Bank Loan Account No. 64006451305 of petitioner No.2, Bank Account No. 64195026778 of petitioner No.3, and bank account no. 0408101067864 of petitioner no.1 maintained in respondent no.3 Canara Bank Jayanagar Shopping Complex Branch Bengaluru, vide Annexure-A; (ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.2 and 3 to defreeze the petitioners savings bank account bearing account no. 39651539645 of petitioner No.1, Bank Loan Account No. 64006451305 of petitioner no.2, bank account no. 64195026778 of petitioner No.3 maintained in respondent No.2 bank and Bank Account No. 0408101067864 of petitioner No.1 maintained in respondent No.3 Canara Bank Jayanagar Shopping Complex Branch Bengaluru (iii) Pass such other orders or writ deemed fit and proper in the interest of justice and equity." 2. The respondent No.1 had directed the freezing of Bank Accounts of petitioners in a proceedings initiated by Lokayukta Police as regards disproportionate assets of petitioner No.1. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:27592 WP No. 7017 of 2026 3. The petitioner No.1 had challenged the same before this Court in W.P.No.25473/2025, and the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, by order dated 12.09.2025 has stayed further proceedings in Crime No.42/2025 registered by the respondent Lokayukta Police. 4. The present petition has been filed seeking for de-freezing of Bank Accounts of petitioners frozen by Lokayukta in the proceedings in Crime No.42/2025, that would but be required for the petitioners to seek for such reliefs in the pending proceedings in W.P.No.25473/2025 and not initiate parallel proceedings.
