Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, who submitted that, by way of amendment, he seeks to raise additional grounds, which would not change the entire nature of the proceedings, and therefore, he may be permitted to amend the petition. 3. Learned AGP strongly opposed the said contention and submitted that he wants to file a reply to the amendment application. 4. Considering the nature of the application and the amendment sought by the petitioner, we are of the view that the proposed amendment would not change the entire nature of the proceedings. Therefore, the amendment deserves to be 2026:BHC-NAG:10924-DB 30.CAW.1684.2026 2/2 allowed. In view of the above, we allow the application. Learned counsel for the petitioner shall carry out the amendment within two weeks. 5. Learned AGP is at liberty to file an additional reply to the amended petition. 6.
