ORDER Pursuant to the statutory notice, the respondent/contemnor appeared before this Court today. His personal appearance is dispensed with. The Non- Bailable Warrant issued against the respondent/contemnor is hereby recalled.
2. Learned counsel for the respondent/contemnor submitted that, by order dated 12.06.2025, this Court directed the respondent/contemnor to re-credit a sum of Rs.16,15,000/-, which was siphoned from the current account of the petitioner. In order to avoid contempt proceedings, the respondent/contemnor has expressed willingness to deposit the said amount before the Registrar General of this Court.
3. The respondent/contemnor is directed to deposit the said amount within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. However, liberty is granted to the respondent/contemnor to prefer a writ appeal within a period of twelve weeks from today. In the event the respondent/contemnor obtains any interim order in the writ appeal within the 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
Cont. P. No.568 of 2026 said period, the Registrar General is permitted to release the deposited amount to the respondent/contemnor, subject to the orders in the writ appeal.
