IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK ABLAPL No. 6094 of 2026 1. Debi Prasan Satpathy 2. Prabina Kumar Satpathy 3. Bidyutprava Satpathy …. Petitioners Mr. R. Naik, Advocate -versus- State of Odisha …. Opposite Party Mr. A.K. Apat, AGA CORAM: JUSTICE V. NARASINGH Order No. ORDER 12.06.2026 01. 1. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and learned counsel for the State. 2. The Petitioners are seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with G.R. Case No.516 of 2026 pending on the file of learned JMFC, Basudevpur, arising out of Kasia Maine P.S. Case No. 69 of 2026, for commission of offences punishable under Sections 85/ 115(2)/ 296/ 351(3)/ 3(5) of BNS read with section 4 of the DP Act. 3. Learned counsel for the State, on instruction, submits that the apprehension of the Petitioners of being taken to custody is misconceived since in the meanwhile the Investigating Agency has taken recourse to the provisions as contained in Section 35(3) of BNSS. 4. In view of the same, since there is no perceptible threat of arrest, the ABLAPL accordingly stands disposed of. 5. Liberty is granted to the Petitioners to renew their prayer in the event there is any perceptible threat of arrest. (V. NARASINGH) Vacation Judge Ayesha
