GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following: ORDER: The Writ Petition has been filed for the following relief: “…to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, particularly a Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of Respondent No. 6 in threatening to arrest the Petitioners in false criminal cases under the influence of Respondents Nos. 7 to 9 as illegal, arbitrary, and violative of Articles 19, 21, and 300A of the Constitution of India consequently direct the Respondent No. 6 not to harass the Petitioners on the pretext of alse cases instigated by Respondents Nos. 7 to 9…” 3 2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader. 3. Mr. Chakravarthy P.V.S.K., learned counsel for the Petitioners, submits that Respondent No.6 is threatening to arrest the Petitioners in false criminal cases, allegedly at the behest of Respondents Nos.7 to 9. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that the Respondent Police have never threatened the Petitioners and have only acted strictly in accordance with law. It is further submitted that no coercive steps have been taken against the Petitioners. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and upon recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Respondent No.6 to strictly adhere to due process of law and not to harass the Petitioners on the pretext of false cases allegedly instigated by Respondents Nos.7 to 9. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ________________________ Dr.Y.
