JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioners are before this Court calling in question proceedings in C.C.No.180/2023, pending before the VII Addl. Senior Civil Judge and J.M.F.C, Mysuru, for the offences under Sections 498A, 504, 506, 149 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act and Section 4 of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019. 2. Heard Sri.Lethif B, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, Sri.Vinay Mahadevaiah, learned HCGP appearing for respondent No.1, Sri.Syed Mohammed Irbaz, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 and have perused the material on record. 3. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled the dispute among themselves and have filed a compounding application along with the affidavits. The compounding application reads as follows: “For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavits that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to permit the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12120 CRL.P No. 2671 of 2025 parties to compound the offence and consequently quash the entire proceedings in C.C No.180/2023 on the file of VII Additional Civil Judge (Jnr Div) and JMFC, Mysuru for the offence punishable under Section 498A, 504, 506 R/w 149 of IPC, Section 3 and 4 of DP act of Mysuru City Women Police Station, Mysuru which is produced at Annexure-A, in the interests of justice.” 4. In the light of application for compounding being filed along with the affidavits and offences not being against the State, I deem it appropriate to accept the compounding application and terminate the proceedings against the petitioners in the subject petition. 5. For the aforesaid reasons, the following: ORDER [I] Criminal Petition is disposed. [II] Proceedings in C.C.No.180/2023 pending before the VII Addl.
