The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 1571 of 2026. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the charge-sheet which has been submitted in the case reveals that an intermediary quantity of brown sugar was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It has further been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 12.11.2025. Learned Spl. P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner has criminal antecedent of a similar nature. However, regard being had to the fact that intermediate quantity of brown sugar was recovered from the possession of the petitioner and the period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-V, Gumla in connection with Gumla P.S.
