Hon'ble Shri Justice Sachin Singh Rajput Order on Board 11 /05/2026 1. This application has been filed under Section 528 BNSS seeking extension of time in filing appeal. 2. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that in light of judgment passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court in case of Celestium Financial Vs. A.Ganasekaran reported in (2025) INSC 804 this Court disposed of Acq.A. No.249 of 2019 vide order dated 25.6.2025 with a direction to the appellant/complainant to prefer an appeal against the impugned judgment/order dated 07.04.2018 passed by the Judicial Magistrate First Class, District – Janjgir-Champa in Criminal Case Number 61/ 2017 before the concerned Sessions Judge within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3. Learned counsel for the appellant/complainant further submits that in compliance of the order dated 17.2.2026 passed in Acq.A. No.249 of 2019 an appeal has to be preferred before the Sessions Court, District - Janjgir- Champa, he could not prefer the appeal within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of the order. Therefore, Shri Patel, Advocate prays for extension of time to file the appeal. 4. On due consideration and the reasons assigned in the present application, the same is allowed.
