In this writ application, the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the respondent no. 2 to forth with register the petition dated 16.02.2026 filed by the petitioners under Section 166 of BNSS and proceed in the accordance with law within a time bound period. A further prayer has been made to restrain the private respondents, their agents, servants and associates from interfering the petitioners’ right to usage of the pathway connecting their residence to the National Highway and direct them for removal of obstruction caused by the private respondents in the natural flow of water from Siddharth Pahaadi to the drainage system at the National Highway. A counter affidavit has been filed by the respondent no. 2 from which it appears that a case has been registered on 16.06.2026 being M. P. Case No. 617 of 2026. -2- Mr. Shashank Shekhar, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that save and except registering of a case on 16.06.2026 and calling for a report from the Circle Officer, Topchanchi, Dhanbad, there is no progress in the said case. Regard being had to the fact that one of the primary grievances of the petitioner with respect to non-registration of the case has been redressed, this writ application stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to expedite M.
