Heard Mr. Satyaban Behera, who appears in person, and Mr. Prashant Pallav, learned Senior Advocate and A.S.G.I. for the respondent. 2. The appellant, who appears in person, points out that there is a mistake in recording his name in paragraph-1 of our order dated 02.07.2026. 3. Accordingly, we substitute “Satawan Mehera” with “Satyaban Behera” in paragraph-1 of our order dated 02.07.2026. 4. The above correction to be carried out in the original order and the order uploaded on the website. 5. This L.P.A. concerns the non-furnish of the complaint dated 13.02.2023 filed by the appellant’s wife to the appellant under the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005. 2026:JHHC:20831-DB 2 6. On 02.07.2026, we had made the following order :- “1. Heard Mr Satawan Mehera, who appears in person and Mr Prashant Pallav, learned Senior Advocate and A.S.G.I. for the respondent. 2. It now transpires that the appellant has appealed order dated 29.07.2025, dismissing W.P.(C) No. 3210 of 2025 instituted by him. Challenge orders made under the Right to Information Act, 2005 in the context of his application that he be provided with a copy of the complaint filed by his wife on 13.02.2023 to the Commandant of C.I.S.F. unit, BSL, Bokaro, Jharkhand. 3. It now transpires that the Commandant of C.I.S.F. to whom the complaint was addressed, has, based upon the complaint dated 13.02.2023, conducted a preliminary inquiry and made a preliminary report dated 06.03.2023 into the allegations made in the complaint. 4. If this is so, then, apart from the provisions of the R.T.I., even the principles of natural justice and fair play would require that a copy of such complaint is made available to the appellant. Accordingly, we direct the respondent to furnish a copy of the petitioner’s wife’s complaint dated 13.02.2023 to the petitioner by the next date which shall be 14th of July, 2026 at 02:15 p.m. 5. The learned A.S.G.I. states that the copy of the complaint will be handed over to the appellant in the Court itself on 14th July, 2026 in deference to the above order. 6. Post this matter at 02:15 p.m. on 14th July, 2026, so that once the copy is handed over, the appeal could be disposed of.” 7. As recorded in paragraph-5 of the above order, today, the learned A.S.G.I. has handed over a copy of complaint dated 13.02.2023 filed by the appellant’s wife to the appellant after certifying the same to be a true copy. 8. The appellant has received the copy of the complaint in the open Court in our presence and has further endorsed upon another copy confirming its receipt. 2026:JHHC:20831-DB 3 9. The learned A.S.G.I. states that he is placing a photocopy of the complaint bearing the receipt indorsement of the appellant. 10. The copy of the said complaint is to be taken on record. 11. Now that the appellant has got the copy of his wife’s complaint dated 13.02.2023, the relief in this appeal stands worked out. 12. The appeal is accordingly disposed of. No costs. (M. S. Sonak, C.J.)
