This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, praying for granting bail to the petitioner, namely, Eilaram @ Hilaram Doley, who was arrested in connection with Offence No. ER 02/2025 dated 22.11.2025 of office of the Range Forest Officer, Eastern Range, Gamiri, Biswanath, under Sections 9, 27, 29, 39, 40, 49, 51 and 52 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and Wildlife (Protection) (Assam Amendment) Act, 2009. 4. The petitioner was thereafter forwarded and produced before the learned Magistrate on 23.11.2025 and has been in custody ever since. 5. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that that the statutory period of 60 days for the submission of offence report has expired today and on instructions received, the learned Special Public Prosecutor has submitted that the offence report has not been submitted till now. 6. In view of the above, the petitioner can be allowed the privilege of bail. Accordingly, this Court, therefore, directs that the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing a bond of Rs. 30,000/- with two suitable sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned SDJM, Gohpur, Biswanath, Assam subject with following conditions : (i) That the petitioner shall co-operate with the investigation as and when required; (ii) That the petitioner shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person who may be acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade such person from disclosing such facts of the case before the Investigating Officer; (iii) That the petitioner shall not hamper or tamper with Page No.# 3/3 evidence. 7.
