The petitioner claims to be the widow of a deceased employee of CSTC who died-in-harness on October 18, 2021. She applied for compassionate appointment on November 4, 2022 with a reminder on September 23, 2024. It is alleged that there is no response to the same. 3. In the absence of the respondents, it is not possible for the Court to decide the issue conclusively. 4. As it appears that the application seeking compassionate appointment is pending consideration at the end of the concerned authority, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Deputy Managing Director, CSTC, the fourth respondent herein, to take a decision on the petitioner’s representation seeking compassionate appointment in accordance with law, at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 5. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter. 6. If the prayer of the petitioner is accepted, then the authority shall take necessary consequential steps without any further delay. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner shall forward a copy of the representation seeking consideration to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating this order. 8. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 9.
