Item No. 106-107 IN THE HIGH COURT OF MANIPUR AT IMPHAL CONT.CAS(C) No. 17 of 2026 SS Gladny & 12 Ors. …Petitioners - Versus - Hemant Kumar & Anr. …Respondents With MC(CONT. CAS(C)) No. 19 of 2026 B E F O R E HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA O R D E R 04-04-2026 Present Mr. Juno Rahman, learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms. B. Nandita, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 1 & 2. The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioners herein for non-compliance of the direction of this Court in the order dated 17-10- 2025 in WP(C) No. 424 of 2025 directing to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners herein. Ms. B. Nandita, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 1 & 2, has filed an application being MC(CONT.CAS(C)) No. 19 of 2026 stating that the direction of this Court has already been complied by issuing an order dated 19-01-2026 and in the circumstances, the contempt petition may be closed. Mr. Juno Rahman, learned counsel for the petitioners, fairly submits that this Court may pass an appropriate order. Considering the subsequent order dated 19-01-2026 issued by the respondents in compliance of the direction of this Court, the cause of the contempt petition does not survive. Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed. MC(CONT. CAS(C)) No. 19 of 2026 is allowed. JUDGE Victoria NINGOM BAM VICTORIA Digitally signed by NINGOMBAM VICTORIA Date: 2026.04.06 17:17:09 +05'30'
