Sabhadhipati and the Panchayat Samiti are not represented despite service. The petitioner alleges that despite completion of work pursuant to work order issued in his favour on 28th February, 2019 in terms of the e-tender dated 22nd January, 2019 only 50 per cent of the bill raised by him has been cleared by the authority. The remaining 50 percent to the tune of Rs.1,20,000/- is still due. The petitioner submitted a representation before the concerned authority on 3rd September, 2024 in this regard which is yet to be considered. Learned counsel for the State submits that the concerned authority be directed to consider the representation within a stipulated time frame. In view of the above, the BDO, Islampur Block, being the 6th respondent herein, is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 3rd September, 2024 within two weeks from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable 2 opportunity of hearing to all concerned including the petitioner in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereof. The writ petition is thus disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.
