Petitioner served as Peon in Army Public School, Clement Town, Dehradun. The said school is run by Army Welfare Education Society. 3. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has challenged orders dated 16.08.2021, 21.04.2022 and 20.08.2024, whereby his claim for revision of pay and also pay parity with other employees was rejected. 4. Learned counsel for respondents contend that writ petition would not be maintainable, as the school is run by a society, which is not receiving any financial aid from the State or Central Government, nor the Government has any administrative control over the affairs of the school concerned. 5. This Court finds substance in the submission made by learned counsel for the respondents. 6. Hon’ble Apex Court in the case of Army 2026:UHC:2377 Welfare Education Society Vs. Sunil Kumar Sharma and others, 2024 (16) SCC 598 has held that writ petition would not be maintainable against schools run by Army Welfare Education Society. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed with liberty to petitioner to approach appropriate forum.
