SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE SANGEETA SHARMA Order 12/02/2026 1. Heard. 2. This is a petition whereby the petitioner assails the action of the police department in transferring cases on several times. He submits that the entire investigation is hampered on account of it being transferred from one Investigation Officer to another or from one agency to another. 3. Learned counsel has pointed out that there are guidelines issued by the Government of Rajasthan with regard to transfer of investigation in criminal cases, but the same are not being [2026:RJ-JP:6652-DB] (2 of 2) [CW-18581/2024] adhered to. The legal notices have also issued by the petitioner calling upon the authorities to follow the instructions. He submits that in spite thereto, there have been several occasions where the Investigation Officer is being transferred without there being any cogent reason. 4. While we do not find any reason to entertain this petition, suffice it to observe that if the guidelines have been issued by the Government of Rajasthan with regard to transfer of investigation in criminal cases, we expect the Director General of Police to time and again, review cases which may be not in conformity with the guidelines and take appropriate action. 5. With the said observations, the writ petition is disposed of. 6. Pending application, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
