This petition under Section 528 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed for extension of time to deposit the fine amount of Rs. 10,000/- as per order dated 05.11.2024 passed by this Court in CR.R. No. 569/2015. 2. This Court, vide order dated 05.11.2024, while partly allowing the revision petition and sentencing the petitioner to the period already undergone, had enhanced the fine amount of Rs. 1000/- to Rs. 10,000/- under Section 498-A of IPC and had granted two month’s time from the KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 date of passing of the order for depositing the enhanced fine amount. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the applicant was out of town in connection with his livelihood and therefore, he could not gain knowledge of the order passed by this Court in CRR No. 569 of 2015 vide order dated 05.11.2024. It is submitted that immediately upon acquiring knowledge of the said order, the applicant became ready and willing to comply with the directions issued by this Court. It is further submitted that the applicant is now prepared to deposit the fine amount before the learned trial Court and, therefore, prays for grant of 20 days’ time to deposit the said amount before the learned trial Court and till today, he has not been arrested. 4. Learned counsel for the other side has no objection. 5. The prayer made by the petitioner appears to be reasonable. Hence, the petitioner is granted further a week’s and no more time from today to deposit the enhanced fine amount as was ordered by this Court on 05.11.2024 in Cr.R. No. 569 of 2015, failing which he shall be taken into custody forthwith. 6. Accordingly, this Cr.M.P. stands disposed of. 7.
