Also heard Ms. P. R. Mahanta, learned counsel for the respondent. Page No.# 2/3 Ms. Talukdar, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that she has lost her contact with the client and therefore, requires some time to make a contact with the client. On the other hand, Ms. Mahanta, learned counsel for the respondent submits that the order dated 21.08.2019 passed in WP(C) No. 6932/2014, has already been complied with. By the aforesaid order, this Court directed to the respondent authorities more particularly, the respondent No. 2 to re-consider the appointment of the petitioner as in-charge Principal as well as DDO of Patidarrang College on the basis of seniority, if there by no criminal case pending against him. By a speaking order dated 17.10.2023 issued by the Director of Higher Education, Assam, it was reconsidered and the respondents declined to give him benefit for the reason that the criminal case was still pending. A copy of the speaking order dated 17.10.2023 also be furnished to Ms. Talukdar, learned counsel for the petitioner, so that she can communicate with her client. In view of the aforesaid, this Court is of the opinion that the order dated 21.08.2019 passed in WP(C) No. 6932/2014, has been complied with. Accordingly, this contempt petition stands closed. However, it is needless to say that the petitioner shall be at liberty to assail the speaking order dated 17.10.2023 issued by the Director of Higher Education, Assam, if so advised, before the appropriate forum.
