CARAP No. 65 of 2026 By way of this application, a prayer has been made for the release of the amount that has been deposited by the award debtor. Learned Deputy Advocate General, on instructions, informed the Court that the Department is not intending to assail the order passed in proceedings under Section 34 of the Arbitration Act. In the light of the fact that the award amount stands deposited before this Court and now as per Department, it does not intend to file an appeal under Section 37 against the order passed by learned District Judge in a petition filed under Section 34 of the Arbitration Act., this application is disposed of with the direction that the award amount which has been deposited by the award debtor before this Court be released in favour of the applicant with up-to-date interest thereon, in its bank account, details whereof are given in the application.
