Now, the parties have settled their disputes in terms of the Settlement Deed dated 11th December, 2025, which has been placed on record as Annexure P-4 to the petition. 7. In terms of the settlement, a decree of divorce dated 1st April, 2024 has been granted with the mutual consent of the parties. A total sum of Rs.8,00,000/- was payable by the petitioner no.1 to respondent no.2, which has duly been paid by the petitioner no.1 to respondent no.2 in four instalments. 8. She informs the Court that she has settled the matter of her own free will and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection to quashing of the present FIR. 9. The petitioners are also present in Court and have been identified by their counsel. They affirm the statement of the respondent no.2 and undertake to abide by the terms of settlement arrived at between the parties. 10. Considering the above settlement between the parties, no useful purpose would be served by continuing with the proceedings of the present FIR and it would be an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the present FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. 11. Consequently, the FIR No.463/2014 registered at P.S. Sangam Vihar and the proceedings pursuant thereto are quashed. 12. The petition along stands disposed of accordingly. This is a digitally signed order.
