Order 30/01/2026
1. This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging contempt of order dated 14.05.2024, whereby the petitioner was directed to submit a representation before the concerned authority within a period of 15 days, which was to be adjudicated by the authority within a further period of 60 days.
2.
Learned counsel submits that although, representation was submitted by the petitioner in compliance of order dated 14.05.2024 on 21.05.2024, yet compliance has not been made till this date.
[2026:RJ-JP:4286] (2 of 2) [CCP-1405/2025]
3. This Court finds that for alleging contempt of order dated 14.05.2024, the contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner on 18.11.2025, which is admittedly after expiry of more than one year from the date of commission of alleged contempt, therefore, in view of Section 20 of the Contempt of Courts Act, the contempt petition is not maintainable and is hereby dismissed.
4. It is made clear that mere dismissal of the contempt petition would not prejudice rights of the petitioner to pursue his rights under the appropriate law.
