ORAL ORDER
The present writ petition is filed seeking the following prayer:
"PRAYER WHEREFORE, in the facts and circumstances narrated above, the petitioner humbly prays that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a direction or Writ of Certiorari/Mandamus or any other order as follows: A) Issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction quashing the impugned Notice bearing No.SAKAEE(V)/HA.U.VI/SA.AEE(TA)/25-26/ 2605-08 dated 26.03.2026 issued by Respondent No.2 (Annexure-A). B) Pass necessary orders in the interest of justice and equity."
2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that by way of a registered Partition Deed dated 12.12.2024, an extend of 0-01.04 Guntas in Sy.No.145/116 fell exclusively

to the share of the petitioner and she applied for land conversion. The Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru South District, via Official Memorandum dated 17.07.2025, passed a Deemed Land Conversion Order under Section 95(2) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964, converting the specific share of the land for "Shops - Industrial" purposes after she remitted the necessary conversion fine and layout fees. It is the case that a five storied building was constructed on the schedule property. After submitting all the required documents including approvals from the Electrical Inspectorate, respondent No.2 sanctioned and provided 15 distinct electricity connections under the LT-1 residential tariff on 29.03.2025 and ever since, the petitioner has been paying the usage charges and enjoying the services. Based on a frivolous complaint filed by a third party, a notice dated 26.03.2026 is issued by respondent No.2 asking the petitioner to produce all the documents within a period of 7 days. It is submitted that the petitioner has submitted her explanation to the show cause notice with all the relevant documents. It is the submission that without passing any orders on the said explanation submitted by the petitioner,

the respondents are taking steps to disconnect the power supply which made the petitioner to come before this Court. 3. Learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2 submits that the petitioner has submitted her explanation to the show cause notice dated 26.03.2026 with all the relevant documents.
It is submitted that in that case, they will consider the same and pass appropriate orders and till such order is passed, they will not disconnect the power supply subject to the petitioner paying the regular usage and consumption charges. 4. Hence, this Court is passing the following:
ORDER i. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the explanation of the petitioner to the notice dated 26.03.2026, if any, in accordance with law within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of the copy of the order. ii. Till such time, the respondents shall not disconnect the power supply, subject to the petitioner paying the regular consumption charges.

iii. If the reply is not given, the petitioner is at liberty to submit his reply to the notice by 11.06.2026. iv. All I.As. in this petition shall stand closed.
