1. The present contempt petition arises out of the alleged non-compliance of the order dated 14.08.2024 passed in WPC No. 4127 of 2024.
2. Learned counsel for the respondents, by filing an affidavit, submits that the demolition drive was commenced at about 10:00 a.m. on 29.08.2024 and was concluded at about 11:30 a.m., which is evident from the Panchnama, Rojnamcha Register and the seizure memo JYOTI SHARMA Digitally signed by JYOTI SHARMA Date: 2026.05.13 10:11:11 +0530
2 annexed as Annexures R-1-2/1, R-1-2/2 and the photographs. He further submits that intimation of the order passed by this Court was served upon the respondent authorities at about 12:40 p.m. after completion of the demolition drive, which is evident from Annexure C-2 filed by the petitioner himself. It is further submitted that the respondent authorities have not committed any willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court.
3. I have perused the records as well as the reply filed by the respondents.
4. Upon perusal of the records and considering the submissions made on behalf of the respondents, particularly Annexure C-2, it appears that the
order of this Court was intimated to the respondent authorities at about 12:40 p.m. on 29.08.2024, by which time the demolition drive had already been completed.
5. In view of the above, this Court does not find any willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court. Accordingly, the contempt proceedings are dropped and the petition stands disposed of.
6. Rule is discharged. Sd/-
