Petitioner alleges breach of the following directions issued in Milkhi Ram Sharma Versus State of H.P. and others2:-
“On 13.09.2023, this Court had asked the Additional Advocate General to inform the Court as to what action was taken by respondents no.2, 3, 7 and 8 on the representation (Annexure P-5) made by the petitioner to them on 13.06.2023, followed by a reminder dt. 28.06.2023.
2. A reply has been filed by the 7th respondent today explaining that the Nomads/Gujjars, who were found in possession of certain lands owned by the BBMB, which is a designated Wild Life Area, were evicted on 03.07.2023. The 3rd respondent has also placed a report before this Court narrating the steps

taken as regards eviction of Nomads/Gujjars from the Pong Dam Lake Wildlife Sanctuary.
3. We hope and trust that the respondents will take action as and when incidents of such nature come to light or where the officials of the respondents themselves notice such incidents. With these observations, this PIL is closed.
4. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.”

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission to withdraw the present petition as the petitioner intends to avail substantive remedies for the redressal of his grievances raised in this contempt petition.
Granting such liberty, the present contempt proceedings are closed.
