On previous date, i.e. 14.07.2026, on the basis of
submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, following order was passed:-
“As per report of learned Mediator, as also submitted by learned counsel for the parties, matter has been amicably settled between the parties and they have agreed to dissolve the marriage with mutual consent by filing an appropriate petition before concerned Family Court. Respondent has also agreed to pay Rs. 11,00,000/- as permanent alimony, having full and final settlement to the petitioner Hem Lata. Out of aforesaid amount, Rs. 3,00,000/- shall be paid by the respondent on or before 01.08.2026, on which date, both of them shall file petition for dissolution of marriage by mutual consent and remaining Rs. 8,00,000/- shall be paid by him before passing decree of dissolution of marriage. In turn, petitioner has agreed to close the proceedings, including present petition.

In view of the above, as the parties are yet to act upon the terms of the settlement, the matter is adjourned to 05.08.2026 for further orders.”

Today, learned counsel for petitioner submits that an amount of ₹3,00,000/- has been paid by respondent and received by petitioner pursuant to compromise arrived at between the parties. He further submits that the parties have also filed a petition for dissolution of marriage by decree of divorce by mutual consent before the Family Court, District Kullu, wherein next date has been fixed as 30.01.2027.

Learned counsel for the parties submit that, in view of aforesaid development, present petition may be closed in terms of compromise and to protect the interest of the parties, liberty may be granted to revive the same in case compromise is not finally acted upon by the parties.

In view of above, accepting the aforesaid prayer, present petition is closed with liberty to the parties to revive the same in case compromise is not finally acted upon in its totality. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of in aforesaid terms. (Vivek Singh Thakur) Judge
