The present petition is filed under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 19961 seeking further extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator till 31.01.2027. The dispute arises out of a Marketing Services Contract dated 19.07.2016 and an Addendum dated 09.10.2019 concerning the management and marketing of the Petitioner’s hotel, Hotel Abhay Palace, Ghaziabad. 5. The arbitral proceedings commenced pursuant to the order dated 16.10.2020 passed by this Court in OMP(I)(COMM) No. 325/2020, whereby Hon’ble Dr. Justice Arjit Pasayat, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, was appointed as the Sole Arbitrator. 6. The mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal has previously been extended by this Court on four occasions, including by orders dated 20.09.2023, 03.05.2024, 20.12.2024 and 22.08.2025, the last extension being granted till 31.07.2026. 7. Thereafter, vide email dated 04.05.2026, the learned Sole Arbitrator fixed the next date of hearing as 01.06.2026, and vide Procedural Order dated 01.06.2026, the matter was fixed for further instructions on 19.08.2026. 8. The Petitioner has accordingly approached this Court seeking a further extension of the mandate till 31.01.2027. 9. Issue notice.
