Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 4. Petitioners, who are 27 in number, have filed the combined petition challenging the transfer order dated 20.01.2026, by which, they have been transferred. 5. Perusal of the transfer order reveals that some of the petitioners are working at the present place of posting since 2016 and others are working since 2020 and, as such, they have completed more than 5 to 6 years at the present place of posting and the transfer order has been passed in public interest. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that his case is covered by the judgment and order dated 29.07.2019 passed by the learned Division Bench of this Court in Writ Petition (S/B) No. 336 of 2019. However, a perusal of the said order reveals that the transfer was made on administrative ground and the Hon’ble Division Bench had held that the transfer on the administrative ground cannot be passed in violation of the transfer policy. In the present case, the transfer order has 2026:UHC:648 been passed in the public interest and the petitioners are serving at the same place of posting for more than 5-6 years. Transfer is an exigency of service and the petitioners have no indefeasible right to continue at a particular place of posting. 7. This Court does not find any merit in the writ petition.
