JUSTICE DEEPAK ROSHAN ----------- For the Petitioner : Ms. Tanya Singh, Advocate Ms. Neha Mehta, Advocate For the Respondents : Mr. Piyush Anand, AC to SC-VI ---------- 02/ 07.07.2026 By way of the present writ application the petitioner prays for direction upon the respondents, particularly respondent No. 4 to prepare and publish a proper merit list in accordance with law and include the petitioner if found eligible. Petitioner has further prayed for direction upon the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner for nomination as Home Guard against the existing vacant posts pursuant to Advt. No. 01/2016. 2. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per her instruction, seats are still available against the respective advertisement with respect to appointment of Home Guards. Accordingly, she submits that the respondents be directed to take a decision in the matter in respect of the present petitioner, in the background that seats are still vacant. 2026:JHHC:19959 2 3. Learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that since counter- affidavit has not been filed, if the petitioner so chooses, she may approach the concerned respondent for redressal of his grievance. 4. Having regard to the above, the instant writ application stands disposed directing the petitioner to file fresh representation before the respondent No. 4. The moment respondent No. 4 will receive the representation; he shall verify the records of the case with the help of his subordinate and pass an appropriate order strictly in accordance with law and applicable rules and regulations governing this advertisement within a period 20 weeks from the date of receipt of such representation. 5. It goes without saying that if the claim of the petitioner is found to be genuine; consequential order be also issued within a further period of six weeks. 6.
