By virtue of the present petition, the petitioner challenges the order dated 10th December, 2024 passed by the Sentence Review Board (SRB) thereby rejecting the premature release of the petitioner. 2. The petitioner was convicted in case FIR no. 80/2010, PS Saraswati Vihar, Delhi under Sections 302/458/460/411/379/511/34 IPC and was sentenced with life imprisonment vide judgment dated 20th July, 2012 and the order on sentence dated 21st August, 2012. The conviction and sentence were upheld by this Court in CRL.A. 1462/2012 vide judgment dated 07th August, 2019. This is a digitally signed order. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as on 25th November, 2024, the petitioner had already undergone 14 years and 3 months of actual imprisonment and about 17 years including remission thereby satisfying the eligibility period for premature release under the Remission Policy dated 16th July, 2004. 4. It is further submitted that during incarceration, the petitioner was granted interim bail on three occasions; parole twice and furlough twice, but there was no allegation of misuse of liberty by the petitioner. She accordingly prays for setting aside of the SRB order dated 10th December, 2024 and for issuing the Writ of Mandamus, directing the premature release of the petitioner. 5. The learned ASC appearing for the State submits that the State has no objection if the name of the petitioner is considered in the next SRB meeting. 6. In view of the statement made by the learned ASC, the present petition is disposed of, directing the State to place the matter of the petitioner in the next SRB meeting and the same shall be considered in terms of the principles qua premature release as laid down by this Court in W.P.(CRL) 2875/2025 titled “Ramesh vs. State (NCT of Delhi) & Anr.” (2026:DHC:6455). 7.
