Since the issue involved in both the writ petitions is identical, therefore, these are being heard and decided together by this common judgment. However, for brevity, facts of Writ Petition (S/S) No. 1682 of 2021 alone are being considered and discussed here. 3. Petitioners are serving as Lecturer in different Government Inter Colleges in Garhwal region. By means of this writ petition, they have sought a direction to authorities to refix their revised pay scale w.e.f. 1.6.2006, in place of 1.7.2006. They have relied upon Government Order dated 17.10.2008 and 31.7.2019. 4. Mr. B.M. Pingal, learned Counsel for the petitioners, produced in the Court an order, issued by Chief Education Officer, Rudraprayag on 17.1.2026. He submits that similarly situate Lecturers have been given the benefit, which petitioners are claiming in this writ petition. He submits that Chief Education Officer concerned has told the petitioners that on account of pendency of the writ petition, the said benefit could not be given to them. Thus learned Counsel submits that petitioners be permitted to withdraw the writ petitions with liberty to approach the Chief Education Officer. 2026:UHC:2470 5. In view of submission made by learned Counsel for the petitioners, writ petitions are disposed of by permitting the petitioners to approach the Chief Education Officer concerned by making representation. Representation, if made within ten days from today, shall be decided, as per law, within two months.
