The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition being aggrieved by the alleged inaction on the part of the respondent-WBSEDCL in not restoring the electricity connection to the petitioner. 3. Learned Advocate for the respondent-WBSEDCL submits that electricity connection was disconnected due to non-payment of the outstanding dues. Learned Advocate further submits that the respondent-WBSEDCL has no objection in restoring the electricity connection to the petitioner and had already taken steps to restore the same but due to objections raised by the local people, the electricity connection could not be restored to the petitioner. Accordingly, learned Advocate prays for adequate police protection of its officers at the time of restoration of the electricity connection to the petitioner. 2 4. In view of the same, this Court directs the Inspector- in-charge, Malbazar Police Station to provide adequate police protection to the officers of the respondent- WBSEDCL at the time of restoration of electricity connection to the petitioner. Cost of the same shall be borne by the petitioner. 5. The respondent-WBSEDCL along with the assistance of police personnel shall effect electricity connection to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from date. 6. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 7. Since no affidavits have been filed by the respondents, the allegations made in the writ petition shall not be deemed to have been admitted. 8. Let urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking. (Gaurang Kanth, J.)
