JUSTICE LALITHA KANNEGANTI ORAL ORDER The present writ petition is filed seeking the following prayer: "PRAYER WHEREFORE, the petitioner most respectfully prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to: a) Issue a writ in the nature of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction quashing the impugned order dated 22.05.2026 passed by the Respondent No.4-Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies in Case No.44/Disqualification/29-C/01/2025- 26, arising out of the proceedings initiated under Section 29-C of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959, produced at ANNEXURE-T; b) Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction directing Respondent Nos.1 to 3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 06.05.2026 and 12.05.2026, produced at ANNEXURES-R to R2 respectively, seeking transfer/change of the Respondent No.4 from adjudicating the proceedings in Case No.44/Disqualification/29-C/01/2025-26 initiated under Section 29-C of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959, and consequently appoint any other competent, independent, and impartial authority to adjudicate the said proceedings in accordance with law, d) Pass such other order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity." - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:25276 WP No. 16013 of 2026 2. Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that a criminal complaint is given by the respondent No.4 against the petitioner and earlier, the respondent No.4 had passed an order without giving notice to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner has given representations to respondent Nos.1 and 3, requesting that the said enquiry may be transferred to some other officer. 3. When the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.6 submits that an order is passed on 25.05.2026 and the proceedings are transferred to the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Central Assistant, Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Bangalore and nothing survives for consideration. Learned counsel for respondent No.6 submits that as per the proceedings dated 25.05.2026, new officer is appointed and the date may be fixed. 4. Considering the fact that the grievance of the petitioner is already addressed by the respondents by transferring the proceedings to another officer, nothing - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:25276 WP No. 16013 of 2026 survives for consideration in this writ petition. Accordingly, this Court is passing the following: ORDER i. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of in the light of the proceedings dated 25.05.2026. ii. As per the proceedings dated 25.05.2026, the parties shall appear before the concerned officer on 10.06.2026 at 3.00 p.m. iii. All I.As. in this petition shall stand closed.
